What happened

The campaign account for Sample Candidate, a fictional county board candidate, shared an immigration meme on 2 June with the caption “Shared without comment.”

The post was deleted approximately six hours later. Candidates for public office are identified by default under our standards when the account is an official campaign account.

An archived capture was taken before deletion.
